About Prue Odonovan

I am an experienced senior mental health clinician, with a demonstrated history working in mental health with children, families and systems involved with Child Safety Services. I am skilled in providing mental health intervention and treatment to children and adults who present with a range of backgrounds, experiences and needs. I am passionate about family therapy and systemic practice, and my approach to therapy is grounded in trauma-informed, attachment and systemic approaches. Recently I completed a two year training program (Advanced Systemic Family Therapy) through the Queensland Institute of Family Therapy, and am finalising registration as a Clinical Family Therapist.I am originally from Gimuy-Walubarra yidi country in Gimuy (Cairns) and currently live and work in Meanjin (Brisbane) on Turrbal and Jagera land. I always strive to be culturally-safe in my practice and value collaboration and learnings from my culturally and linguistically diverse colleagues and clients.Additional professional interests include; providing clinical social work supervision, working with individuals and systems presenting with high level of complexity, facilitation of group programs.
