With over 16 years of experience in supply chain management, I am a senior manager at Emerson, where I lead the procurement organization and support the strategic planning function for the Middle East and Africa region. I hold an MBA in operations and finance, and I am certified by CIPS and CILT-UK in purchasing and supply chain with an Engineering undergraduate degree.My mission is to create value and efficiency for the organization by developing and implementing best-in-class strategies and techniques to deliver optimal cost at minimal risk. Some of my key responsibilities include:1. Set up Indirect Materials (IDM) Organization2. Develop and implement sourcing strategies3. Responsible to identify, develop, plan and implement Supply Chain continuous improvement programs including supplier rationalization, regionalization, centralization of procurement and sourcing, etc. Single point of contact at Global IDM HQ for MEA driving global synergies5. Lead and support mega/special projects that add efficiencies and value to operations. Example – Greening of Facility (Solar Roofing), Business Travel Policy, Sustainability Procurement Policies (Scope 1 and Scope 2).6. Latest stretch responsibility undertaken to broaden perspective and gain valuable business insight – supporting Strategic Planning function7. DE & I advocate, council member in DE & I and Sustainability (Greening of) MEA councils
