Third Culture Kid. Storyteller. Producer. Traveler. Multifaceted producer, director, and writer, based in New York. Over fifteen years, I have produced over 35 projects, including a wide range of documentaries, scripted features, commercials, short films, music videos and multimedia campaigns. My films have screened at festivals such as Toronto, Tribeca, Atlanta, Cinequest, Fantasia, Mountainfilm, LAAPFF, Cleveland, and OutFest. As a producer with Tikkun Olam Productions, I co-produced the feature documentary ISRAELISM (Big Sky, CPH:Dox, Brooklyn Film Festival), for which I was part of a very successful self-distribution and impact campaign, leading to the film being the #1 documentary on Apple TV for nine days in a row upon release. Additionally, I am very active in the filmmaking community, having established several initiatives that nurture South Asian and BIPOC talent for careers in American film and television: • Established and built Tasveer Film Fund (the first South Asian-focused film grant in North America) • Co-founded Kalakars (the first South Asian film workshop in the US) • Co-designer of R3 - Renewal Programming - at Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival Film programmer and curator for several film festivals and film series.
