About Punit Renjen

I am honored to have served as Deloitte Global CEO from 2015 to 2022. I also served as a member of the Deloitte Global Board of Directors. Effective December 31, 2022, I retired from Deloitte and became Deloitte Global CEO Emeritus. Deloitte operates in 150 countries, with more than professionals and 2022 revenues of $59.3 billion. As CEO, I developed and executed a global strategy that resulted in Deloitte becoming the leading professional services organization in the world and being recognized as the strongest and most valuable commercial services brand. During my tenure, Deloitte led our competitors in revenue growth and impact, becoming the largest of the Big Four as well as the leader in audit quality. Under my leadership Deloitte launched WorldClass—a global effort to prepare 100 million underprivileged people for a world of opportunity—based on the belief that when society thrives, business thrives. Deloitte also made a commitment to science-based net zero with 2030 goals under our WorldClimate initiative and joined the First Movers Coalition. In addition, as Global CEO I was deeply committed to advancing diversity and inclusion through measurable actions toward gender balance across the organization and within Deloitte’s leadership ranks. Previously, I served as the chairman of Deloitte LLP (Deloitte US) from 2011 to 2015, and as CEO of Deloitte Consulting from 2009 to 2011. In 2022 I was appointed as a member of the US-India CEO Forum, an initiative of the US Department of Commerce to deepen bilateral relationships between the two nations, and appointed to the Council for Inclusive Capitalism steering committee. Previously, I had the honor of serving as the chairman of the United Way Worldwide. On a personal note, I was born and raised in India. I moved to the United States on a Rotary Foundation scholarship to attend Willamette University. I have kept close ties with my alma mater, including past service on the university’s board of trustees. In addition, Willamette University awarded me an honorary doctorate in 2019 and cited me as a distinguished alumnus. Among the many roles I have held in life, I am especially proud to be a husband and father.
