About Punitha Gopi

As a detail-oriented and analytical finance professional currently pursuing an MSc in Finance at Heriot-Watt University, I bring a solid foundation in financial analysis and accounting, complemented by hands-on industry experience. Prior to my postgraduate studies, I worked as a Financial Analyst at Accenture, where I specialized in commercial insurance and financial services, gaining practical expertise in budgeting, forecasting, commission analysis, and SAP GUI. My technical proficiency spans tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, QlikView, and SAP, enabling me to deliver accurate and impactful financial insights. I am driven by a passion for continuous learning and a commitment to delivering quality work with integrity and responsibility. I thrive in collaborative environments and value strong communication and teamwork. In addition to my professional experience, I have demonstrated my initiative and compassion through volunteer work—teaching English in a government school and supporting the 2025 Model UN Conference at Heriot-Watt University. My short-term goal is to advance into a Senior Financial Analyst role, with a long-term vision of becoming a Chief Financial Officer. I am motivated to make meaningful contributions to the finance industry and to grow as a leader who drives strategic financial decisions.
