Background

About Purity Kalenge

I have experience in child protection, education programmes management, gender mainstreaming and inclusion gained from working in Schools, education and community development and in conservation organisations within Zambia at both project development, implementation and evaluation stages. I have a background in working with rural communities and I have always been motivated by my desire to see vulnerable children and especially girls get the help and support they need to reach their full potential. My work has helped me understand the challenges women and girls face in actively participating in conservation and resource management and other areas. My desire to encourage participation is coupled with the experience of working with both rural and urban females, giving me a broader understanding of the different needs of both groups.
