I am a corporate & employment law specialist and I’ve forsaken the role of a traditional lawyer by partnering with my clients on investor readiness, business setup and fund-raising whilst keeping operations, workforce and data privacy practices legally compliant. With a larger sub-set of Corrida Legal’s clients being international MNCs and FMCG/Tech/FinTech/E-commerce players, I am mostly advising clients on strategies for setting up shop in India and becoming a viable growth & investment opportunity in a future-safe manner. I guide companies on intricate corporate & employment law related issues including transactions, operational contracts, workforce management & restructuring and disputes. My daily routine involves advising clients across IT/ITES, FMCG/CPG, E-commerce, FinTech, EdTech, Healthcare, Banking, Aviation, Construction and Real Estate industry on their incorporation & structuring, India-entry, operations & compliances, growth strategy (organic and acquisition-led) including PE/VC investments, acquisitions & strategic buyouts, data privacy compliance & employment-related issues. My advice covers the contours of international entity requirements apropos policies & procedures and I help homologate international contracts & policies. Having led the Employment & GDPR-PDPA compliant processes at leading MNCs, I try to bring a nuanced perspective on employment, data protection and privacy. Having worked with leading MNCs and law firms, such as Nomura, Emaar and Kochhar & Co, I bring a blend of law firm and in-house perspective with a nuanced understanding of the business and regulatory environment. My aim is to deliver effective and efficient legal services that meet the needs and business-related expectations of my clients. Litigation is one of my core areas of emphasis and this helps me draft transactional documents whilst knowing how they will be interpreted before a court of law. I’ve advised clients across a series of civil, commercial, and criminal matters with a focus on white-collar crimes, recoveries, contract breaches, consumer and real estate disputes. As an arguing counsel before various Courts at Mumbai and Delhi NCR, I've represented corporates including International Air Transport Association, EMC (now Dell), Lumata Digital, RaeBareilly Allahabad Highway Private Limited and a consortium of more than fifty international airline companies including Lufthansa airlines, British Airways and United Airlines in matters including civil recoveries & white-collar crimes.
