Strategic Planning: Working closely with all levels of management within the Company to determine needs, developing strategies, planning and providing procurement sources in support of those needs. Supply Chain Management: Sustaining the existing network & managing the supply chain for the items and ensuring timely distribution of the merchandise. Logistics / Transport: Managing logistics operations, appointing new transporters and C&F agents, entering rate contracts & finalizing contracts for transportation. Inventory / Materials Management: Monitoring availability of stock, making appropriate arrangements to ensure on time deliveries. Managing staff, business planning, financial reporting including annual budget and expenditure plans. Vendor Development: Developing vendors for all services required. Improving supplier performance through supplier performance appraisal and supplier pre-qualification programmes. Purchase / Procurement / Sourcing: Developing a sound sourcing strategy & implementing key contracting / procurement strategies. Tracking results / assessment and taking corrective action plans periodically. Gathering industry wide data & analysing the same for benchmarking. Techno-Commercial Operations: Negotiating with the short-listed contractors, getting the desired material economically time & awarding the work in compliance with approved policies
