About Pyry Hanski

I'm a 32-year-old musician and cultural manager whose heart beats strongest for music. Almost everything I do in life revolves around music. I love playing it, listening to it, and working with it. I’ve held various roles throughout my career. I’ve worked at a record store, been a booking agent for stand-up comedians, served as a tour producer, worked as a backline technician, stagehand, and runner at various gigs and festivals, and also worked as a producer, production assistant, and production coordinator at numerous cultural events. All these experiences have shaped me into the self-confident cultural manager I am today. As a musician, I’ve had the privilege of playing at major venues and festivals in Finland and touring across Europe, North America, Japan, Russia, China, Taiwan, Australia, and New Zealand. Playing in Finland is always great, but touring abroad is the thing for me! As a person, I’m very sociable, reliable, and adaptable, with what some might call a weird sense of humor. I really enjoy working with different people, and I approach all tasks seriously, but I don’t take myself too seriously.
