About Quantrell Willis

As an award-winning educator and former higher education executive, I bring over 15 years of experience at the intersection of equity, leadership, and student success across K-12 and postsecondary systems. My career has been driven by one central belief: every student—especially those from historically marginalized communities—deserves a culturally responsive, inclusive, and empowering education. Currently serving as a Teacher on Special Assignment and Engagement Specialist for students and families, I lead districtwide initiatives focused on academic achievement, restorative practices, family engagement, and culturally affirming programming. Previously, I served as Associate Dean of Students at the University of Oregon and Assistant Dean of Diversity and Inclusion at Millikin University, where I led large-scale initiatives addressing bias, retention, and inclusive leadership development. Whether coordinating professional development, designing student success frameworks, or advising national equity councils, I bring a strategic lens and grassroots heart to the work. I’ve been honored to collaborate with EdTrust West, California Teach Plus, and the California Association of African American Superintendents and Administrators. My work has been featured in books, interviews, and keynote panels on educational justice, race, and leadership.
