About Quentin Loague

I am a recent Ph.D. Chemistry Graduate from the Gerald Meyer group at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I specialized in the spectroscopic investigation of sensitized metal-oxide material interfaces to advance renewable energy technologies. With a versatile background in inorganic/materials chemistry, electrochemistry, and photophysical chemistry, I am passionate about driving innovations in renewable energy.During my graduate studies, I conducted time-resolved spectroscopic investigations of interfacial electron transfer reactions at sensitized metal-oxide material interfaces. This research aimed to establish best practices for solar energy conversion and storage at sensitized hybrid photoelectrodes. Additionally, as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Inorganic Chemistry, I played a pivotal role in educating and mentoring undergraduate students. I developed instructional materials and delivered engaging lectures and laboratory sessions to foster a deep understanding of complex concepts.I have engaged in collaborative work with research groups across the US and Europe, fostering interdisciplinary teamwork and knowledge exchange. With experience in grant writing and project proposals, I am committed to continuous learning and making impactful contributions to the field of renewable energy.
