About Quentin Ranson

Quentin is an Occupational Therapist who manages clinicians and administrative support staff at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. After working 17 years as a front-line clinician and as a site technology lead, Quentin now recruits, supervises and mentors staff who work in the Psychology and Occupational Therapy departments. He is passionate about promoting innovation in the workplace. He is actively involved in several projects across the Glenrose that aim to improve access and independence for patients. Quentin is also the President of the Brain Care Centre where he works with staff and volunteers to provide services to stroke and brain injury survivors. Quentin believes that things can always be improved upon and that everyone has the potential make a positive change both at work and in the community. Quentin has worked with community-based non-profit organizations in Canada and Africa to help to promote access and independence for people with disabilites. He has also worked with academic institutions, entrepeneurs, patients and clinicians to design innovative solutions for everyday problems. His work has been featured in publications such the Wall Street Journal and national CBC technology columns. He has also participated in the publication of academic research related to technology and innovation in rehabilitation. Quentin has a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy
