About Quentin Spoonmore

I have always enjoyed learning how things work and found satisfaction in problem solving. My experience as an engineer in manufacturing provided open ended challenges where I led projects that resulted in significant cost savings, quality improvements, and productivity enhancements. I also have an interest in personal finance, which started in high school when I subscribed to Money magazine and first learned to manage an income, budget, and invest. I love sharing my knowledge with others, especially discussing engineering, personal finance, trees and landscaping, making beer and sharing both success and horror stories of years of trying everything as a DIYer. I really enjoy hearing about other people's passions and learning about new things I'm not familiar with. As a financial planner I want to help clients recognize their money for what it is: a tool, to be used with conscientious and deliberate choices to achieve life goals while living without financial fear of excess, regret, or being beholden to it. I hope to do that by being open about myself and providing personalized financial planning and guidance to meet others' priorities. I leverage my background in critical thinking and process improvement to analyze complex scenarios, identify opportunities, and design optimal solutions for my clients' needs and challenges.
