About Querida Simpson

Asset Management was where I developed a foundation in building management, from day-to-day repairs to major/cyclical works to landlord compliance. This progressed into a role specialising in compliance, co-managing and coordinating large-scale contracts for a major social landlord. Later, I moved into the in-house Legal Department, to focus specifically on the leasehold stock. Here I developed an understanding (and love) of ownership structures and leasehold law, and went on to establish and lead a dedicated Leasehold Team. I gained comprehensive (and somewhat unique) leasehold management experience from three key perspectives: in different scenarios I represented the organisation as leaseholder, as freeholder, and as third-party managing agent. Now I'm working for a London-based managing agent, overseeing property management across the portfolio. My current focus is on collaborating with key departments to strengthen internal processes that support business growth, while ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and client relationships remain strong. My educational background is in publishing, with a focus on magazines - an interest that now takes a more modern form through my ever-growing collection of Instagram accounts (.exercise, styling, DJing and of course my dog). I'm an advocate for personal wellbeing and stress management, particularly for women, and in a life in between all of the above, I became a certified yoga instructor and massage therapist, travelling through India until I eventually "found myself" back in London.
