About Quincy Cook

Since graduating from the University of Wyoming with a BSc in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, I've leveraged my expertise in equipment management to enhance operations at the University of Washington. In my role as Equipment Manager, which I've held for over 2 years, I apply my knowledge of health sciences and hands-on skills in equipment operation to ensure our athletic programs are not only provided with the best that our manufacture(Adidas) can provide for our athletes, but also be able to prevent injury from the foundational level that is equipment through product testing and creating an open environment between equipment manager and athlete to provide the best possible experience. I have participated in multiple postseason events such as, PAC-12 Men's Basketball tourney, WNIT and the WBIT. In my current role at the University of Washington I have been able to work many sports and learn the different aspects of each of them and how to provide the best care to each team. The teams I have had the pleasure to help out and take care of during my tenure include, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Mens and Womens Golf, Women's Soccer, Mens and Womens Crew, and Men's Tennis. During my time as a Director of Equipment for the Gem City Bison I was able to oversee and engage with the community of Laramie WY and build partnerships with donors and trustees to ensure a positive atmosphere for our staff and coaches. While I was Director of Equipment for the Gem City Bison I was able to market and obtain sponsorships with not only small businesses within the community but also with companies such as Albertsons and PepsiCo to help sponsor the team as well as do television and radio interviews with local news sources while also setting up community engagement events to help benefit the people within the community of Laramie WY.
