About Quincy Tyson

With over two years of experience in the transportation industry and a master's degree in criminal justice, I am a passionate and dedicated leader who strives to make a positive impact in the community. As the Executive Director of Rainbow Center, I oversee the operations, finances, programs, and staff of the nonprofit organization that provides vital services and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ population in San Diego. I have a strong background in managing complex and dynamic systems, ensuring safety and quality standards, and developing and implementing policies and procedures. At MTS, I supervised and trained the auxiliary and yard personnel, coordinated the fleet maintenance and service, and handled the risk management and incident reports. I also operated the light rail vehicles, serving over passengers daily. I excel at problem solving, team building, and employee training, and I leverage these skills to foster a collaborative and inclusive culture at Rainbow Center. I am committed to advancing the mission and vision of the organization, supporting the diverse and resilient LGBTQ+ community, and creating a more equitable and inclusive society.
