About Quinton Rief

As a professional I am driven by my passion and my creativity, which originally lead me to studying the arts. After my first year as a college student and some soul searching I realized that my calling was creating awesome recreational programs for kids. Having a background in artistic endeavors has heavily influenced my mindset when conducting group facilitations, which has resulted in unique approaches to the various obstacles that come with outdoor recreation and child development. When I am not actively furthering my knowledge of recreational programming, I spend my free time creating music and spending time with friends and loved ones. I consider myself a free spirit so I love traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing new things. If you have any fun travel stories I would love to hear them! I have a variety of job experiences, but some of the most influential positions I have held are Assistant Director at Avid4 Adventure Palo Alto, Program/Cabin Head at YMCA Camp Eberhart, Teen Staff Intern at the Crestmont Boy's and Girl's Club, and a Site Manager with Student Painters. Each one of these positions gave me unique responsibilities that I feel have given me a wide range of skills that I can apply to my field. Nothing is guaranteed in life, but I am confident that my drive and creativity will help navigate me through my field of work and land me in the place I was always meant to be.
