Dr. Ronald Collier is an intensivist who has enjoyed serving multiple communities across the United States by working in a locum tenens capacity for over 10 years. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Morehouse College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and earned his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, where he was Student Government President. Dr. Collier completed his MBA at the Heller School at Brandeis University. After completing his internship in General Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and a year of General Surgery training at the University of Arizona Medical Center, he completed his General Surgery residency at The University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He then completed his Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Collier is certified in Surgery and Surgical Critical Care by the American Board of Surgery. He holds active medical licenses in numerous states, and remains academically engaged by regularly attending the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American College of Surgeons, and the National Medical Association. He has achieved Fellow Status in the American College of Surgeons, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Collier has also regularly attended the Surgical Section of the National Medical Association and is serving as Chair of the Board of Directors for 2023-2024 and served as Program Chair for 2019. He has presented at the the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress, the College of Chest Physicians meeting and has spoken and moderated numerous times at the National Medical Association Surgical Section. He currently has multiple assignments across several states, and has been a part of a group of intensivists to start critical care programs at 4 hospitals. Dr. Collier was born on Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. He grew up as an 'Air Force Brat' having lived in seven states, as well as abroad for three years near a former Air Base in Torrejon, Spain. He now resides in Nashville, Tennessee and in his spare time, Dr. Collier loves to travel.
