About R. M. Easterly

R.M. Easterly has been solving real life problems since childhood, literally. She started her first business at 10, sold it at 12 (no, not for millions, but enough to make grown ups do a double take), and has been hooked ever since. Since then, she’s launched eleven ventures and exited seven, not through acquisitions, but by closing them profitably or selling them on when they outgrew their original purpose. No seven figure exits (yet), just smart moves that made sense and helped people along the way. Every business R.M. built came from something she experienced herself or saw others struggle with. Her ventures weren’t just ideas, they were solutions. She’s always had a gift for spotting what’s missing and figuring out how to fix it, long before she had a title or a team. A curious mind from the jump, she was the kid who read dictionaries and thesauruses for fun and later landed in gifted programs, STEM academies, and eventually, Mensa, with an IQ of 152. She earned her undergrad degree with honors, took a detour toward law school, then pivoted back into science and entrepreneurship, earning her doctorate and doubling down on her true calling: building things that make life easier for everyday people. From 2018 to 2023, R.M. went all in on research and development before officially launching THYIM, a first-of-its-kind gig marketplace that connects people to real, everyday help in under 15 minutes. Built from scratch, backed by grit, and grounded in a mission to make services accessible, affordable, and immediate. What sets R.M. apart isn’t just her track record, it’s her mindset. She’s lived the problems she solves, never chases clout, and stays committed to impact over ego. She’s that rare blend of big thinker, hands on doer, and unapologetic straight shooter. Detroit raised her, life shaped her, and now she’s using all of it to change how people get help when they need it most.
