About R. Senthil

Dr. R. Senthil is a Professor at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. He works on Solar Energy Conversion, Energy Storage, Building Thermal Comfort and AI/ML Technologies. Four scholars completed PhDs under his supervision! He serves as a reviewer in 178 Scopus/WoS-indexed journals and has reviewed manuscripts. He authored 136 articles (indexed in Scopus/WoS) with a Scopus h-index of 27 (i-10 index of 66) and 2500+ Scopus citations. His cumulative Impact Factor is about 450, with an average of 5.5. Dr. Senthil has delivered over 45 expert talks on topics including "Research Perspectives in Solar Energy and Thermal Energy Storage,""Thermal Comfort in Built Environment,""Project-Based Learning,""Research and Publications," and "National Education Policy 2020." He is a member of ISES, SESI, IEI, ISCA, QCFI, NIQR, ISEBE, and ISTE. He has four patents. He won eight national and international awards for research and teaching, including the Top 50 Research Guides in India and the Outstanding Reviewer Award in the Solar Energy Journal, among others. He completed 30+ MOOCs courses. He serves as an Academic Council Expert, External Expert, BoS Member, PhD DC Member, PhD Thesis Evaluator, Conference Chair, Keynote Speaker, etc. He is currently featured in the Top 2% Most Cited Scientists in the World (Elsevier-Stanford University Report, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025).
