About R. Senthil Kumar

R.Senthilkumar, a post graduate from Dept of Biochemistry, University of Madras, completed his Doctorate in inter disciplinary Bio- Geochemistry from the same university. He is one of the persons responsible for establishing and managing Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory in Hitech Diagnostic Centre, Chennai with primary focus on clinical reporting for molecular infectiology. He headed the team that developed and optimized PCR and Real-time PCR assays during outbreak of chickungunya and swine flu. Apart from 15 years of experience in molecular biology, he also trained in strategy planning, Business development, Lab management and people management/training. He worked as molecular biologist for 10years from to 2010 with Hitech Diagnostic centre. In 2010 he joined with ETA star to establish and manage a central referral laboratory for it satellite clinics in Chennai. In 2011 he joined with Medall Health care Pvt Ltd, as part of a team that establish its central processing lab in Chennai, and also responsible for quality in branches all over Tamilnadu. In 2012 he returned back to Hitech Diagnostic centre, and involves in establishing LCMS Analytical Lab with prime focus on New Born Screening, Steroids and Vitamins. Currently working on establishing a Genetic Laboratory for Fertility Genetics, Cancer Genetics with NGS -Next Generation Sequencer.
