About Race Reed

Before coming to South Korea, I worked in finance, sales, and marketing for 5 years. In the mortgage industry, I became an effective salesperson with my top month being over in revenue. I didn't have enough time in the mortgage industry before the 2008 financial crisis and later moved into insurance. Before I left the insurance business, I had built relationships that fed me about per month in inbound sales. It had been my dream to travel the world since I was so a child. I finally quit my job to set off on the adventure of teaching English in South Korea. I've been teaching English at the university level for nearly 10 years in South Korea. I also help Korean learners with presentation skills, resume and cover letter building, and business communications. I'm a hobby developer and have completed a few Android apps that are gaining users in the Playstore.I've taught myself Korean to an upper intermediate level and learned Spanish formally to a more advanced level. With all these interests, the skill that I've honed the most is public speaking. Over the past ten years teaching at a university in South Korea, I've made it a point to make my classes entertaining but informational. If my students don't listen, that's my fault. The best teachers deliver messages in a way they want to learn.
