About Rachael Briner

Candidate for J.D. at the SMU Dedman School of Law with strong communication, collaboration, writing, critical thinking, and research experience. Previously interned at startup businesses, a public relations company, branding agency, and worked in-house on Proxxy's team to drive two founders’ social media engagement up an average of more than within a month. In addition, built research, strategy, and analytical skills for two years on SMU’s NSAC (National Student Advertising Competition) team for international clients. These past two years, I have been a summer associate at Jackson Walker & Haynes Boone and an extern for both Dallas CASA and Fossil Group. I rotated through practice groups including Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Trademarks, and Real Estate. I will be continuing at Haynes Boone this upcoming fall in the Corporate group as an M&A first-year associate. With experience in advertising, business, and now law, I have been able to apply much of my knowledge to the this industry with respect to forming an argument, researching relevant and persuasive materials, and working with others to provide the best result possible. I am looking forward to bringing my past experiences and passion for helping people into the field of law!
