In 2008, I set up my own PR, Events, Photography and Video agency in Harrogate following 10 years of working in PR and events management around London. I undertook a 2 year HNC training course and became qualified as a professional photographer and videographer, then scaled up my team to provide a full service communications agency, servicing wide-ranging international, national and local clients with internal and external comms, photography, videos, corporate, community and awards event management, brand development, and other public relations content and activities.Clients include sustainability, medical organisations, broadcast media, charities, grass roots music venues, dispute & resolution companies, trade bodies and publications, NGOs, government agencies. to name a few. 2024- Present - VoluntarySince moving to the North East because of its vibrant cultural, music and arts offering, fabulous people, incredible scenery and general great vibe, I have collaborated with a local community social media and print publication to help the team build a wider audience and make connections. I am currently producing a series of short documentary videos that highlight the financial, arts, music, cultural and community investment into North Shields. 2018- PresentTaking my skills out of the corporate world and into people's personal lives, I trained as a humanist celebrant and went on to become one of the busiest humanist celebrants in Yorkshire within 2 years. This role requires a vast array of people skills, together with professional writing, listening, business development and presentation / public speaking skills. I represented Humanist Ceremonies on BBC Look North, and on a Manchester University research project.
