About Rachael Singleton
I use behavioural science and design thinking to help improve outcomes for people and places. I believe policy, products and services are better designed and have better uptake when we understand the behavioural drivers, the perspectives and the experiences of the people they are designed for. I have successfully worked on projects across NI government departments and UK industry. These span: Health - NI COVID transmission mitigation including app development, and healthier food choices intervention to reduce obesity; Finance - debt repayment; driving £4.6million property rates payment in 6mths; Employment and economy - identifying barriers to innovation for microbusinesses and SMEs across NI; Environmental sustainability - green skills app development, key stage 3 behaviour change workshop development; and Justice/courts - increasing court attendance. I embed behavioural science into comms & marketing and product development; user testing and co-design; and design and deliver staff training to support systems change. Behavioural science closes the gap between design (policy/product/service) and impact.
