Background
About Rachel Beard
I have a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Assurance and Security. After a few years using my undergrad degree, I decided to leap into the education field in search of a more fulfilling career that I would enjoy more and feel the impact that I am making. I am in my 3rd year of teaching at Coahulla Creek High School in the math department. I am teaching financial algebra to high school seniors. It is incredibly fulfilling to be preparing students for their future by teaching them budgeting, loans, interest, taxes, consumer skills, banking, investments, and more. I am helping students be ready for life after high school and how math will stick around in their life after high school graduation.I am obtaining my Master's in Teaching from the American College of Education. I am expected to complete the program by the end of 2023. When not teaching, I love spending time with my family, cooking, going for hikes, and reading.
