About Rachel Cheche Hoover

I believe in the power of authentic connection with others to promote resilience and healing; therefore, I use a client-centered, collaborative, and empathic approach to therapy in order to meet my clients where they are and create a warm and trusting environment. I provide counseling to individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing a range of issues and my treatment services include building coping skills for anxiety and depression, processing and healing from family-of-origin issues, family conflict management, improving relationship communication skills, affair recovery, and increasing emotional connection in couples. I also incorporate mindfulness meditation and expressive techniques into my work with clients. Since starting out as a therapist, I have worked in residential and multiple outpatient clinical settings with diverse clients, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches in my work with clients: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Gottman method for couple therapy, attachment- and trauma- informed therapy, and family systems.
