Rachel has worked in a range of therapeutic settings with children, young people, and families. Rachel has completed a range of therapeutic training including dyadic developmental psychotherapy, Transaction Analysis (foundation) and Systemic family practice (PGdip). Rachel is currently undertaking a Ph.D. in social work with UCLAN, looking specifically at trauma-informed practice in domestic abuse service provision. Rachel is a British Psychological Society accredited clinical supervisor and had taken lead roles as an onsite supervisor for social work university students on work placements. Rachel has developed and delivered specialist training on trauma, child sexual exploitation, attachment and emotional regulation to a range of professionals including social workers, nurses, residential workers and the police. Rachel has gained previous experience working as a research assistant and has contributed to the training, evaluation and development of services/organisations offering therapeutic support to children and families.
