About Rachel Cusatis

I am an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Division of Hematology and Oncology and Senior Scientific Director for Patient Centered Research and Survivorship at the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). My research focuses on quality of life, including social and financial impacts of treatment, to understand individual and population health. Through mixed methods approaches, I have collaboratively worked on studies analyzing patient reported outcomes, patient and provider communication, survivorship, caregiver experience, and financial impact among patients receiving hematopoietic cell transplant, cellular therapy, and other contexts. I have extensive experience mentoring PhD Candidates, Fellows, Residents, and Medical Students. Since 2018, I've taught the Survey Research Methods course in the Public and Community Health Doctoral Program at MCW.
