Background
About Rachel Flenner
With over 20 years of internal audit experience, I am motivated to add value and work with employees at all levels to foster an environment that strives to improve processes and strengthen internal controls. Working in an educational setting is diverse and demanding as the audit topics are broad and everchanging. From Athletic compliance to Zoology processes and everything in between (PCI/HIPAA/FMLA/NCAA compliance, revenue/purchasing/reconciliations/payroll/academic/clinic processes and procedures, contract management, and research controls.) Additionally, I am involved in the development and implementation of the annual audit plan approved by senior leadership and work to establish the methodologies used to guide the internal auditing function and ensures that audit engagements are performed, documented, and communicated in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards as well as applicable laws or regulations
