About Rachel Hyde

My background touches many facets of the agricultural industry. I have experience in the seed business, retail agriculture sales, corn and soybean checkoff programs, equipment sales, agricultural advertising and media sales, and foodservice. My passion is advocating for agriculture! I graduated from Purdue University in May of 2018 with a degree in Agricultural Communications and a minor in Agronomy: Crop Sciences. I hail from central Indiana just north of Indianapolis in Noblesville, IN where my family raises corn, soybeans, and sheep. I enjoy being an active member of the family farm. Agriculture has been a pivotal part of my life from the time I was a young girl, from the family farm to ten years in 4-H to seven years in FFA. I am an active 4-H and FFA volunteer, along with a Hamilton County Farm Bureau board member. Furthermore, I am active helping my uncle develop our family sheep herd, VIP Club Lambs. Since showing lambs in 4-H & on the national level, I now enjoy improving the sheep herd as well as judging sheep and goat shows throughout the Midwest.
