About Rachel Klein

I am often described as having a lot of energy, dynamism, and a vibrant spirit. My unique style has propelled me to be a recognized Audit Partner in PwC’s New York real estate practice whose breadth of real estate know-how spans over 20 years with publicly traded REITs and private equity real estate funds. My projects have included all sectors of real estate development and operations, including a tour in PwC's National office where I focused on a variety of real estate accounting complexities. Clients describe me as a “quintessential professional” whom they admire for my keen intellect, agility, and focus amidst very complex challenges.My talent for making the complex understandable is sought after frequently by clients, colleagues and leaders in the field. My reputation for energizing my audience and generating enthusiasm around somewhat “dry” topics is widely known. As an active member of NAREIT, I also contribute to discussions of new or emerging accounting standards and am responsible for PwC’s successful dinner during the law and accounting conference each year. I have a passion for leading a full life encompassing excellence in my work, leadership in my community as well as being a trusted colleague and friend. I am dedicated to the arts, culture, and support of community arts in NYC. I contribute my expertise as Treasurer of two non-profit boards, Figment Project Inc. and Circle Arts, Inc. I have a Master of Science of Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Ohio University and has shared my mentoring talent with many young students at OU. I was thrilled to have received the 2016 OU’s Alumnus in Practice of the Year award. I am a licensed CPA in the states of New York and Ohio.
