About Rachel Kralka

For any of the industry fields I've had the honour of experiencing, many ask me "did you go to school for that?" The answer is almost always "no." Since the very beginning, the jobs I would obtain were all from a wide range of fields, with no outwardly rhyme or reason. My first ever job was working as a Veterinary and Kennel Assistant at an all-cat clinic at the age of 16. My experience? Growing up with cats and *sometimes* helping my parents take care of them. While my full-time position as an AV/Social Media Coordinator at my local church did involve some knowledge from my recently achieved Master's degree in Music Technology, the majority of my time was spent learning skills that had nothing to do with music or technology. People often assume I went to school for marketing or video editing due to my current positions, but I candidly tell them that I have neither, and that these were the result of a friend's referral and a 3-month internship, respectively. My seemingly chaotic record of employment is due to my plethora of passions that have followed me to this day. I've adopted 2 cats that I adore, I still play and record music in my spare time, and I stay up way too late working on video edits. All because I sincerely love doing these things. Lastly, I have always (and will always) put in my all to do what I love. I've never let degrees or lack of experience hinder me, and that's clear when going down memory lane via my resume.
