About Rachel Lim

As an Expressive Arts Therapist (AThR) with a passion for working with people living with dementia, I believe in the power of the arts to bridge connections and foster communication where words may fail. I am dedicated to creating therapeutic spaces where individuals can express themselves, process emotions, and reconnect with their identities in ways that resonate deeply with their lived experiences. My work focuses on tapping into the sensory and emotional capacities of persons living with dementia, offering them opportunities for self-expression, healing, and emotional connection. Currently, I pioneer an Expressive Arts Therapy Service with Dementia Singapore, collaborating with caregivers and professionals to support the emotional and psychological needs of those often overlooked in dementia care. Driven by the belief that art is a universal language, I continue to explore innovative approaches to empower individuals and strengthen their sense of self.
