Dr. Rachel M. De Vaughan serves the Mississippi Community College Board as Deputy Executive Director for Programs. With more than 30 years of leadership, management, or academic experience, Rachel has served in leadership roles in industry all over America and abroad. Expanding her experience from business to K-12 to postsecondary/higher education, to serving as Interim Executive Director of the State's Workforce Investment Board, she has proven to be a visionary leader with extensive expertise in current educational reforms and best practices, standards-based curriculum alignment, professional development, supporter of change of low performing students and schools, accountability and fiscal management, and workforce and economic development. She is committed to excellence in the field of education by eliminating the barriers to enable more Mississippians to obtain an education and is dedicated to promoting resources and tools for academic struggling students to become successful. She has dedicated her career serving as a catalyst that ensures all students have opportunities for relevant learning.
