About Rachel Sharp

My research explores various topics related to socio-emotional well-being, developmental disabilities, bullying, and online prosocial behaviour. I aim to generate meaningful insights and applications that can enhance diverse populations' quality of life and mental health through research. I am currently enrolled in a Ph.D. in psychology, concentrating in quantitative methodology, at Carleton University. I also obtained an M.A. in Psychology from Carleton University. Throughout this process, I have acquired various skills relevant to research, including familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methods, knowledge mobilization, advanced literature search methods, and grant writing. Beyond academia, I am also passionate about teaching and making knowledge accessible to all. I have experience working as a teacher, designing and delivering individualized lesson plans for students from different grade levels and with neurodevelopmental difficulties. I use my communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to create engaging and accessible learning experiences that cater to each student's preferences and needs.
