With over ten years of experience and as a Certified Registered Graphic Designer, Rachel Simms, RGD, upholds the highest standards in design and ethics, adding a touch of sparkle to each project. She leverages her marketing expertise to craft engaging, empathy-driven brand identities, visual systems, and websites that connect businesses with their ideal clients. As the founder and Creative Director of Broadbent Studio, Rachel built the company on core values like passion, patience, connection, and understanding. Broadbent Studio proudly ranks among 150 design agencies listed as Vendors on Record for Service Ontario. Over the past two years, it has garnered Community Votes Silver and Bronze awards in Graphic Design, as well as a Silver award in Web Design. Rachel and her team are known for forming lasting relationships with clients, especially those in the health and wellness sectors, working closely to understand their challenges and gain a deep understanding of their operations. Rachel's community involvement includes volunteer roles with The Association of Registered Graphic Designers, participation in the Program Advisory Committee at Canadore College for over eight years, volunteering at Hospice Huntsville for more than three years, and supporting Brave Beginnings, a non-profit organization that helps survivors of gender-based violence rebuild their lives. Her academic record is exemplary, earning a 4.0 GPA at Canadore College, McMaster University, and Centennial College. She has received awards such as the Mary Reynolds IODE Memorial Scholarship, the Program Achievement Award for Graphic Design, and the Nugget Graphic Arts Scholarship. Rachel has also mentored students in professional development and design thesis projects, guiding aspiring graphic designers in strategy, design thinking, and business skills.
