About Rachel Stone
I'm a Senior Lecturer in the Academic Development and Inclusion (AD & I) team, which is based in the Student Success portfolio at Sheffield Hallam University. Prior to this role I worked in the Sheffield Institute of Education (SIoE) at Hallam for twelve years as a Senior Lecturer in Education, first on the Post-16 PGCE and then on the PG Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education. My previous roles have included independent education consultancy and teaching in adult and further education. I'm currently completing my Doctorate in Education, on academic teaching staff and their stories of belonging in the University. I've also written or co-authored a number of books, articles and blog posts on teaching adults.
