About Rachel Willis

First and foremost, I am a writer. For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated with the written word. This enthusiasm led me to study myriad writers in an attempt to hone my craft. It also led to a love a film, as a well-crafted screenplay inspires me to work harder on my own writing. My devotion to writing brought me to a number of different roles in my career. In addition to writing, I'm enthusiastic about education and engendering a love of reading, writing, and art in children. I spent my early career working directly with elementary aged children as an art and creative writing teacher. This background took me to a role with the leading educational publisher, Pearson. My varied experiences have led me to: Obtain my Master's Degree in Creative Writing Work with college professors to enhance the educational experience for students Write and edit instructional materials Write a novel, which I am currently revising My professional history has strengthened my writing and given me the skills needed to succeed in a variety of fields.
