About Rachel Wright

My private practice focuses on supporting the intersection of mental health and the human-animal bond. I specialize in therapy for grief, traumatic bereavement, trauma, caregiver fatigue (individuals caring for loved ones with life-threatening/limiting health conditions), women's issues, and mental health in veterinary medicine. I have worked in the counseling field since 1996, providing services to a wide variety of clients across the lifespan in many settings, including: community mental health, private practice, inpatient addictions treatment, school-based, hospitals, hospice agencies, and veterinary clinics. I have integrated the intersection of mental health/the human-animal bond within different capacities and settings for the last 20 years. I practice as a licensed independent clinical social worker, therapist, animal-assisted therapy professional, veterinary social worker, approved supervisor for pre-licensure social workers and therapists in WA, supervisor/internship site for masters level social work and counseling interns, consultant, and presenter.
