I have an undergraduate degree in International Studies: European Studies, a Master's Degree in Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing. I began writing poetry at the age of 8. At 13, I completed a short story which received Honorable Mention in the Northwest Young Fiction Writer's contest. After I started college, I focused my writing on non-fiction, specifically human rights and immigration. This continues to be my interest. Over the past 5 years, I have published intercultural essays and recently completed my first book.
