The other day my friend called to ask if I am taking up an early retirement. I am amused with this thought 😊 Let me share my thoughts with why. I am deeply inspired by the below quote from Dr. Donald O. Clifton that states: “Our research into human strengths does not support the extreme and extremely misleading assertion that 'you can play any role you set your mind to but it does lead us to this truth: Whatever you set your mind to you will be most successful when you craft your role to play to your signature talents most of the time.” With this thought after leaving my last job I have explored different avenues as I gained better understanding of my signature talent themes and invested into personal development. In-vitro diagnostics in Healthcare industry has been my passion and will continue to be. However I have now decided to extend the >25 years of enriching work experience into a new role of being a Career Advancement Coach. I help mid-career working professionals who after 8-10 years find themselves stagnated. The root cause of these issues is based on want of self-awareness and self-regulation. As a Mid-Career coach I now aid the mid-career corporate professionals to achieve career growth by identifying their strengths empowering their mindset and help them explore their true potential. By qualification I am a Biotechnologist from IIT Roorkee and an awardee of Chancellor's Gold Medal. The multifaceted >25 years experience in In-vitro Diagnostic segment of Healthcare industry includes an initial overall exposure in different non-customer facing functions of an organization that I later directed into my interest area of “Marketing”. The overall exposure in my early years has always given me an edge over my colleagues. My work experience includes working in two diverse cultures with Indian manufacturers and a MNC. I enjoyed unconventional activities. In the last stint with the MNC I worked beyond labs reaching out to clinical experts to build insights into customer’s needs which is a different approach from trends within Diagnostics companies. All through my tenure I was recognized for my efforts and results. I am now choosing to live both aspects of my professional lives of being a Career Empowerment Coach and a Healthcare Marketer by investing into my Signature CliftonStrengths® of Deliberative| Responsibility| Discipline| Maximizer| Self-Assurance. The last couple of years have been the best time of my life and I am so glad that I took that decision to live a fulfilling life by playing through my Strengths
