I am passionate about working in the agriculture sector as a modern plant breeder. My interests include utilizing new scientific tools and technologies for crop improvement in order to enhance global food security. As a highly driven and motivated graduate student, I am working to develop durable disease resistance strategies based on an improved understanding of host-pathogen interactions. I combine field-based activities with techniques from molecular biology and bioinformatics to closely examine and test my research questions.
