Since 2009, I’ve been leading Kangu Studio, a freelance development consultancy where I collaborate with companies and organizations to design and develop tailored software solutions. Areas of Expertise: Desktop Development Experience with high-performance desktop and industrial software shapes how I approach all systems. Web Development I design full-stack web applications centered around VueJS and NuxtJS, using CouchDB as a flexible, document-based backbone. The focus is on simple, well-understood architectures that avoid unnecessary dependencies while remaining scalable and adaptable. Databases Data decisions made early often determine a system’s long-term success. With over 10 years of hands-on experience using CouchDB, I build systems where replication, synchronization, and data ownership are first-class concerns—resulting in durable architectures that scale without added complexity. Infrastructure Vendor lock-in and over-engineered cloud stacks often create long-term risk instead of resilience. I favor infrastructure that businesses actually own and understand—using self-managed VPS setups where possible, and cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud only when they provide clear, case-specific value. Exploring the future of decentralization Centralized systems introduce hidden technical and operational single points of failure. I actively explore decentralized architectures, particularly within the Bitcoin and NOSTR ecosystems, to better understand how systems can be built to be more resilient, secure and ownership-driven.
