About Rae Gooch

My name is Raelene Gooch. I am a sessional lecturer for Edith Cowan University, Practicum supervisor for Notre Dame University, yoga teacher with Yoga Yourself Happy and writer for Rae Joie Artworks. For the past 9 years I have lived in regional Victoria, where I had many unique experiences both professionally and personally. I completed my Masters of Educational Leadership and Management in 2014, and have worked as an Environmental Educator, primary school teacher and yoga teacher over the past 6 years. During the pandemic, after completing an Environmental Leadership course run by Victorian State Government, I was asked to complete research work for the Department of Environment Land Water and Planning (DELWP) Victoria, designing primary school teaching resources about Adapting to Climate Change. Now back in Perth, I have found opportunities doing what I love. teaching Bachelor of Education students. Through my lecturing role at Edith Cowan University and supervisor role at Notre Dame University - I am able to work with university students, sharing my passion for teaching. I have also recently started creating digital books - collaborating with a contemporary artist to create inspiring and uplifting pieces @RaeJoieArtworks. We have three upcoming exhibitions and have a book being released by March of 2023
