After a decade developing websites and campaigns, we started Radikal. An e-commerce agency using Shopify (Plus) to design, build and grow great webshops in Belgium and across the globe. Creating ofer 60 shopify stores and working with more than 170 clients over the past 4 years. Over twelve years of experience in ecommerce, development, user experience and team management. My career started of at These Days (Wunderman) with an internship, followed by a job as junior developer. Creating flash websites, campaigns, mini-games and the first mobile sites. After a few years I landed a job as consultant, moving between all the big agencies in Belgium taught me a lot! Working at Duval, Ogilvy, Coca-Cola. often at the most complicated projects, gave me a speed course in development but also in agency life. After a few years I went looking for a more steady environment with two of my colleagues (Karel & Dietlev) and we started at Emakina as Interactive Developers. Not long after Steve Jobs effectively killed Flash, we needed to change our perspective. I shifted more towards User Experience Design, closer to the client side of things and with more impact on the final product. Building on the experience of my colleagues, I was feeling more and more at home in my new role. Transitioning to Lead UX Designer at Design is Dead, I got the first few eCommerce sites and Shopify stores under my belt. Still working with Karel at this point, we decided the time was right to create Radikal. Focussing first on websites and campaigns, we focussed more and more on Shopify after just half a year. We started building our team around ecommerce and added expertise in development, design, marketing, seo, sea and growth strategies. Working hard every day on creating shops from scratch, migrating and redesigning, connecting shops with existing ERP systems or other pre-existing software. We even have build apps for our clients, some of them are available on the appstore. In 2019, we launched our first Shopify Plus and have been growing our expertise in this area ever since. Surfing on the hype, we have created our own Padel shop (padel-shop.be) at Radikal. Not so much to make profit, but we like to experience the merchant feeling first hand. Encounter the issues and setback they experience to better be able to service our clients. After 12 years working in digital marketing, the e-commerce aspect really has given me purpose. Helping our small and large clients turning their concepts and dreams into beautiful, functional shops gives so much gratification.
