About Rafael Almeida

My mission is to help companies make innovative products that address customer pain points and unmet needs within the market. My ultimate goal is to create value for customers. To accomplish this, I focus on key results, and I try to adapt to new circumstances and insights quickly. I believe that some of the competencies needed to succeed in a product management role were acquired during my Ph.D. in Information Systems and Computer Engineering and other previous experiences. Today, PhD students often juggle three or four projects simultaneously and independently and must deliver regular public presentations. This helped me to be better prepared for a role within the product management field. My previous professional and personal experiences have taught me that to thrive in this field, we need to- Constantly learn new things and never settle - Speak tech and business - Stay calm when faced with uncertainty and adversity - Love hearing and discussing different perspectives - Work as a team - Seek data for decisions but also trust gut instinct.
