Fueled by passion and driven by challenges, I am Rafael Martello, a data scientist passionate about the world of data and its boundless applications. Throughout my journey, I had the privilege of doing my Ph.D. in chemical engineering, with a focus on the incredible field of data science. I conducted research aimed at improving neural networks through the development of new mathematical functions for weight optimization and neuron pruning, as well as co-guiding undergraduate theses in computer vision and soft-sensors. I embrace challenges as invitations to reimagine concepts and craft new solutions. My skills in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Power BI are the tools that translate audacious ideas into tangible reality. Leveraging libraries like Pandas, Numpy, SciPy, StatsModels, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Optuna, PyCaret, MLflow, DVC, and pytest, I have the ability to shape ideas and extract insights from raw data. Just as a chemical engineer refines crude oil into fuel, my craft is transforming data into powerful insights. I believe that innovation flourishes in collaborative environments. I have had the honor of collaborating with brilliant minds and leading a data science team. I participated in the development of predictive models, automations, and process enhancements, particularly in the realm of people analytics. I stood out by implementing machine learning processes for turnover prediction, utilizing classification, regression, and clustering techniques. These efforts assisted managers in making strategic decisions, identifying root causes and risk groups, resulting in reduced turnover in various companies. I am constantly seeking ways to enhance and innovate, channeling my creativity to tackle the challenges of the data world and craft impactful solutions.
