About Rafael Monteiro

Chief Scientific Officer | Developer and Researcher in Neurotechnology and Artificial Intelligence With extensive experience in Biological Signal Processing, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Development, I currently serve as the Chief Scientific Officer at Forebrain Neurotechnology, where I lead neurotechnology initiatives and develop innovative solutions for the sector. I have a solid teaching background, with 20 years of experience instructing courses such as Programming, Data Structures, Algorithm Complexity, Computer Graphics, Artificial Intelligence, and Image Processing in the Computer Science program at UNIFESO. I hold a Master's degree in Computer Science from UFRJ, with a focus on Image Processing and Eye Tracking, and I now apply this knowledge to solve real-world problems through Artificial Intelligence. As a developer, I have experience in both backend (FastAPI, Flask) and frontend (Vue.js), enabling me to create integrated, end-to-end solutions. Recently, I trained an AI model for eye-tracking estimation, which ranked highly in an open MIT ranking, reflecting my ability to apply advanced AI techniques to solve complex challenges. I work strategically and technically, with leadership capabilities, while remaining active in development and research, always seeking to apply the latest trends and innovations in my projects.
