About Rafael Olvera Guel

Rafael thrives at the intersection of business, engineering, and innovation. A former founder, he built one of Mexico’s first online marketplaces for building materials with on-demand delivery, making him one of the youngest entrepreneurs in Latin America’s construction tech space. Now, he helps scale pioneering technologies in chemtech, energy, advanced manufacturing, advanced materials, and construction, working with innovators to bridge the gap between breakthrough ideas and commercial deployment. His work involves collaborating with technical engineers, researchers, scientists, developers, investors, and policymakers to navigate commercialization challenges—whether it’s taking 3D construction printing (3DCP) in Canada from concept to reality or supporting deep-tech ventures in scaling industrial technologies. Trained as a civil engineer and real estate development planner, Rafael combines technical expertise with business acumen to drive impact at the frontier of innovation. Through his company BuildXMedia, Rafael has also helped businesses grow by developing sales systems, web development, marketing strategies, workflow automation, and AI implementation. Outside of work, you’ll find him rock climbing, capturing the world through a camera lens, or playing one of his many string instruments.
